Watson Builders moving into new areas

Watson Custom Home Builders plans to build in several new and existing communities.

The communities:

Amelia Park: Amelia Park is a “neo-traditional neighborhood community” modeled after 1940s-era small town designs where homes are never more than a short walk from stores and work. As part of this style, streets usually cross on a standard grid forming alleyways for homes built with rear-loading garages, large front porches, sunrooms, and interiors featuring granite countertops and cabinets. Currently, Watson is nearing completion on four homes with an additional four starting construction soon. Amelia Park is on Amelia Island off Sadler Road.

Heron’s Walk: Located at Yellow Bluff Road and North Main Street on Jacksonville’s Northside, Heron’s Walk will feature custom homes situated on one-acre marshfront lots with views of the Nassau River. Prices begin in the high-$300’s for homes starting at 2,400 square feet of living space. The gated community will feature an amenity center featuring a pool and cabanas.

North Hampton: Located south of A1A and six miles east of I-95, North Hampton is a master planned community with a signature Arnold Palmer 18-hole golf course, a recreation center with community rooms, pools, tennis and playgrounds and a canoe/kayak outpost on Lofton Creek. Watson is currently building in the new estate neighborhoods, which features 90 and 100-foot homesites featuring marsh frontage, lakes, nature preserves and views of the golf course. Homes start in the low $300’s, not including lot price.

The Preserve at St. John’s Landing Estates: This is an upscale gated boating neighborhood in the Arlington/Fort Caroline area with direct access to the St. Johns River. The community features access to a private boat ramp with direct access to the St. Johns River. Priced to start in the high-$600’s, the community’s model and spec home should be completed by November.

The Reserve at Heron Cove: Located near I-95 off Broward Road, the community’s marsh front condos start in the high-$100’s and range from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet.

Waterway Oaks at Oyster Bay Harbour: Situated on a peninsula in Fernandina Beach one mile off the Intracoastal Waterway, Waterway Oaks at Oyster Bay Harbour is a yacht club community which will feature low-country homes and amenities that include a 102-boat slips, tennis courts, nature trails, pool and clubhouse. Watson will be breaking ground in Waterway Oaks on a model and spec home shortly.

Cornerstone at Watermill: A townhome community along Argyle Forest Boulevard. Priced from the $150’s, Cornerstone at Watermill has floorplans ranging from 1,519 to 1,623 square feet with great rooms, 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and 1- or 2-car attached garages. The Watermill amenity center includes large pool, water park, playground, and clubhouse.

Dawson’s Creek: A neighborhood of traditional-style homes, Dawson’s Creek is one half mile west of Chaffee Road off Branan Field Road. Prices start in the low-$300’s with lots averaging 100 feet wide by 160 feet deep.

Glen Eagle: Glen Eagle is a community of single-family on Chaffee Road next to the new Jacksonville West Regional Public Library. With 38 available house and lots packages priced from the low-$300’s, Watson’s Glen Eagle homes will have brick exteriors, courtyard or side-entry garages, and lot sizes that average 90 feet wide by 130 feet deep.

Marina Cove: Located at North 19th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues in Jacksonville Beach, Marina Cove is a neighborhood featuring marsh-view homesites. The community will offer Key West-inspired homes ranging from 2,200 to 3,000 square feet that start in the $700’s.

Peoria Oaks: Located on Peoria Road about 1/2 mile west of Doctors Lake, theneighborhood of traditional-style homes features large lots ranging from 1/2 to 1 acre with prices from the $300’s up into the $500’s. Watson Custom Home Builders currently has six lots available in Peoria Oaks including two spec homes with estimated completion in July.

Plantation Point: A 20-unit condominium community from in St. Augustine on Lewis Speedway, it will feature condo-style homes starting in the mid-$100’s.

Plantation Village: A townhome community located in the Argyle Forest area. The newly opened and decorated model allows homebuyers to view floorplans ranging from 1,360 to 1,804 square feet with great rooms, 3 or 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and 1- or 2-car attached garages. Prices range from the high-$140’s to the low-$180’s.

Heritage Oaks: A community of single-family homes in Macclenny, it will have homes between 1,300 to 2,500 square feet on lots averaging 80 feet wide by 120 feet deep.

Osprey Cove: On the banks of the St. Mary’s River basin, this gated community offers a variety of residences.

Planting Hammock: A twin-home community, Planting Hammock will be in Brunswick, Ga. Sales are currently scheduled to begin in mid- to end-Summer with prices starting in the mid-$100’s.
