Randy Brunson of Brunson Custom Homes was installed as the St. Johns Builders Council 2006 chairman at the group’s installation and awards celebration last month at the Marsh Creek Country Club. The St. Johns Builders Council is a council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association for builders, developers and other related businesses operating in St. Johns County.
Mercedes Homes was named Builder of the Year and Holly Yelton of Bank of America was named Associate of the Year.
In other activity:
• Doug Wenzel of Bonded Builders Home Warranty, Antonette Bonafed of Land Title, Donna Jimmerson of BB&T, Rich Farrell of 1 Plumbing and Dennis Ginder of Mercedes Homes received Appreciation Awards.
• Barbara Goll of ALLPro Realty was recognized for Outstanding Service and Dedication to the St. Johns Builders Council during 2005.
• Ed Paucek, the Governmental Affairs Committee chairman, received an award for Outstanding Service.
• Dwight Wilkes of the St. Johns County Building Department was given an award for Excellence in Leadership.
• The Council also recognized outgoing chairman Robert Marshall for his service during the past two years.
• Checks were presented to the St. Johns/St. Augustine Habitat for Humanity organization, the St. Johns County Housing Partnership and the Shriners.
• Seymoine Schmidt of Colonial Bank was lucky winner of the cruise to Mexico.
