Sisler Johnston Interior Design has completed the installation of The Stonebridge by ICI Homes in Tidewater on Jacksonville’s Northside.

“The Stonebridge is full of custom interior design touches and is a must see for home decorating ideas, especially the use and locations of bold color accents,” said Judith Sisler Johnston, president, Sisler Johnston Interior Design and ASID Allied Member. “Upon entering this home, one can sense the freedom this plan offers with its two-story great room, floating staircase, open living room, dining room and breakfast room.”

Unlike many homes with a small traditional foyer, this home opens to a wide central gallery. Sisler Johnston’s theme for this home is exemplified by Liz Claiborne’s accent collection of English-style country rustic furniture in the foyer and living room.

The walls are painted in buttery beige and accented with robin’s egg blue. Sisler Johnston added picture moulding detail and color accents to the foyer, living room and great room niches. Plank wood flooring covers most of the first floor’s entertainment spaces while several custom rugs define seating areas and add warmth to the spaces.

The foyer chest is a half-round demi-lune in a creamy finish with hand-painted English garden vines and flowers. A custom palladian mirror serves as its companion to coordinate with the transom located above the entry door.

The living room is inviting to visit. To contrast with the blue color accents, Sisler Johnston chose a neutral textured raw silk sofa settee with fringed pillows in leafy florals, stripes and small prints. The upholstered lounge chair is a terra cotta and cream stripe while the wood framed decorative chair has a woodsy floral print. The table collection is Liz Claiborne’s eclectic mix of slatted barnwood richly stained brown with buttery painted bases and honey wicker storage baskets.

The dining room has formal upholstered host chairs that are draped to the floor with two different prints that appear to be tied together with a loose flowing bow at the back. The guest chairs have carved caramel wood backs and neutral patterned seats. Because of the room’s size and volume, Sisler Johnston chose a 72” long sideboard with an iron hutch.

The window dressings in the formal areas are trimmed with long French bouillon in a terra cotta color. The treatments are mounted on covered PVC pipes to add volume to the spaces.

A home office shows a completed millwork wall of Old World cherry bookcases with storage cabinets, one of the many upgrade options offered to ICI homebuyers.

The kitchen has a gourmet cook top with a custom millwork mantle, tumbled golden travertine as a backsplash, and cherry cabinetry. The expansive breakfast bar has stained beadboard. A blue background countryside print fabric with roosters is paired with a soft blue and green small scale plaid to create an English setting.

The great room has a 22’ ceiling height with two sets of windows facing the lanai and wood patio deck.

For the master bedroom, Sisler Johnston selected cherry transitional furnishings with an estate-sized panel bed and armoire. She added a writing desk to accommodate the generous proportions of the room. The master bedroom has lounge seating for two for television viewing.

The second floor has two children’s bedrooms and a shared bath with dual vanities. Sisler Johnston continued the bold colors from the first floor and incorporated the blue into a denim baseball theme for the boy’s room. His vaulted ceiling bedroom has red painted twin headboards, denim pocket patches for a comforter and a wide striped bedskirt and shams. The double dresser is in natural pine and the mirror above is painted red. School pennants adorn the wall. Instead of drapery rods, Sisler Johnston chose baseball bats and cascaded solid and striped knot-tied panels from the arched eight-foot window. The girl’s room has an antique white iron poster bed and tangerine walls. An armoire has mirrored front Victorian doors. Sisler Johnston selected floral and stripe fabrics with a blue palette offering the predominant contrast.

“Unlike so many large builders, ICI allows their homebuyers to customize their homes to best suit their lifestyle,” Sisler Johnston said. “They offer a wide array of standard and upgraded features and finishes to help achieve this end.”

Tidewater is a gated community surrounded by the Timucuan Preserve and the shores of Clapboard Creek. The neighborhood recreation area includes a clubhouse with a resort style pool, tot lot and play courts.
