Networking, food and fun was the name of the game for the recent Fernandina Beach-Nassau County Association of Realtors affiliate expo. The monthly meeting’s format differed from normal as booths filled the room with affiliate members to meet and greet area Realtors.

Upon arrival, Realtors were given a checklist of affiliate members present and were encouraged to meet with each. For every affiliate they introduced themselves to, a signature, stamp or sticker was presented on the sheet; if the entire checklist was completed, Realtors were then entered into a drawing for one of four gift baskets from local merchants.

“We thought it was a good idea to get Realtors to get out there and introduce themselves,” said Wendy Sapp of the Fernandina Beach-Nassau County Association of Realtors. “It’s a good way to encourage networking with everybody.”

Over 130 Realtors and visitors attended, packing the room wall to wall. Though a success, no word yet if the expo will be a permanent fixture in the association’s schedule.

The gift basket winners were Molly Knowlton of Prudential Realty network, who won the “Ride’N’Style” theme basket with gift certificates for a limousine ride and assorted restaurants, Jean Shreiber of Deonas Realty, who won the Nassau County Liquors variety basket, Arnie Zetterower of Re/Max, who won the “Exceptional Taste” basket and Rich Houdesheldt, who won the “Home Sweet Home” basket.
