Despite the pouring rain and tornado warnings, Realtors attended a luncheon last month to check out a new apartment to condominium conversion, Atlantica Condominium in Atlantic Beach.

Atlantica Condominium is the first announced condominium conversion in 2007. It was developed by Atlantica Investment Group.

The project is complete and the company started taking contracts on the 100 units located within seven two-story buildings in late July.

The condominiums start at $155,900, are 894 square feet and have two baths in each unit.

Site agents said they have received interest from prospective buyers that were either looking to downsize or were buying their first home.

“The condominiums are perfect for people who want low maintenance, security and to be close to the freeways and beach,” said Marcus Parrish, a Realtor with the Capital Real Estate Team that is the exclusive sales and marketing company for Atlantica Condominium.

The Capital Real Estate Team sales agents are Marcus Parrish, Ada Adams and Lazaro Gonzalez. Chris Lee is the project manager, Armando Romero is the senior broker for the Capital Real Estate Team and Maria “Cuqui” Perez is the vice president of operations and Realtor associate for Capital Real Estate Team.

Amenities at the private clubhouse include a large in-ground pool with sun deck, catering kitchen, resident business center, health and fitness center, lounge area and restroom facilities.
