Carrie Budds, a branch manager with Countrywide Home Loans, was named Outside Lender of the Year at this year’s Laurel Awards. The Laurel Awards are presented each year to builders, developers, architects, planners, interior designers, Realtors, sales and marketing professionals and others who have demonstrated sales, building and design excellence.
After six years in the business, Budds is thrilled to receive this award. A graduate from Auburn University with a degree in German International Trade, Budds started her career practicing general real estate. In 2003, she joined Countrywide Home Loans as a production assistant in the Jacksonville market. After leaving the company briefly, Budds settled back at Countrywide as a sales manager and was promoted in 2006 to branch manager.
Besides managing a branch in Jacksonville Beach and overseeing a satellite branch in St. Augustine Beach, Budds is married with two small children, a son Brady, who is 2-1/2, and a daughter, Olivia, who is 10 months.
Proud to work for the nation’s No. 1 home lender, Budds feels Countrywide is her home.
“I can tell you from experience that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side of the fence. I am at home here and I don’t plan to explore my options anymore,” she said.
