Those dreaming of having horses and private planes can now have both — in their own backyards — in St. Johns County’s Bartram Farms community. The equestrian development’s airpark phase is currently underway with large parcels offering direct access to a private and paved 4,000-foot runway.
“The recent addition of the community’s airpark amenity is possible because an airstrip has long existed on the property. Our research indicated that residential communities with fly-in airparks are very hard to find,” said Vikki Robbins of Victoria Robbins Realty, marketers of the property.
Currently for sale in the airpark’s first phase are a limited number of parcels with direct access to the taxiway and airstrip. The direct-access parcels or Class C lots, allow owners to build an aircraft storage “garage” on their property as well as a barn if they also wish to have horses.
Class C parcels are situated on the airpark community’s taxiway and allow owners to taxi directly from their property to the airstrip. These two and one-half to five-acre parcels are priced from $189,900 to $249,900.
An equal number of parcels with the ability to store aircrafts in the community’s aircraft storage areas are also available in phase I of the airpark area.
Although not directly located on the taxiway, these parcels will appeal to people who enjoy being around airplanes and might also have an aircraft or other recreational vehicle that they’d like to have close by.
