The Realtor Builder Trade Show is in two weeks. Are you ready?
The first thing to do is get a ticket. Skip Starbucks this week and use that $10 wisely to get a ticket to the event of the year.
The show is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 30 and will feature approximately 50 booths.
When should you get there?
“Earlier is usually easier and a little less crowded so that you can get more personal attention at each booth,” said Andie Patton, co-chair of the event. “There is plenty of free parking at the Osborn Center. Just go past the entrance to the official lot. We will have signs posted to help guide you past the pay lots.”
The event is held in the largest room at the Osborn Center. Enter the building from the parking lot and the room is on your right.
Hand the person at the door your ticket, grab a bag (to collect information and goodies) and head on in.
After you enter, the best thing to do is to start at one end of the room and visit the booths in order so you don’t miss any. Each booth will be manned with one or two persons from the company and the booths will have information about the company and maybe some freebies.
It’s an opportunity to ask your questions to a captive audience of builders, loan officers and more all in one place.
It’s also a place to network. Also, bring a lot of business cards for networking and for putting in the bowls at each booth.
Almost every booth will have some sort of large giveaway.
If you need a break, the Osborn Center has plenty of restrooms right outside the show.
Don’t worry about leaving the show hungry.
“The 10 food vendors booths will be scattered throughout the show,” said Patton.
There will be appetizer portions available from various restaurants throughout the show.
“It is a big show, so expect to spend at least two hours browsing and some time for lunch,” said Patton.
Patton said there will be about 50 volunteers helping out at the event.
