Watson Realty’s Wendell Davis will be formally installed as president of Florida Realtors - formerly known as the Florida Association of Realtors - at the association’s banquet this month at the Renaissance Orlando Resort in Orlando.
The banquet is part of the state association’s Mid-Winter Business Meeting. Davis has been president-elect for the past year, serving under Orlando’s Cynthia Shelton.
The meeting starts January 21 and includes business meetings and educational seminars. Davis will be formally installed at a banquet on Saturday, Jan. 23.
Davis is the regional vice president of Watson’s Property Management Division and president of Watson Maintenance.
Leading the state’s Realtors isn’t his only civic duty: he’s also a Clay County commissioner.
The former football coach joined Watson 21 years ago and has been active in local and state associations.
He served as the FAR treasurer in 2007 and secretary in 2006, then ran for president-elect and lost to Shelton. A year later, he won the post and now succeeds the Orlando commercial Realtor.
Davis’s big evening is part of a five-day gathering and major events include:
