The Remodelers Council of the Northeast Florida Builders Association recently donated $10,000 to Builders Care, NEFBA's charitable arm.

"Our members look forward to working on community service projects and especially enjoy supporting Builders Care, which has made such a difference in the lives of so many in our community," said Tom Trout, chairman of the Northeast Florida Builders Association Remodelers Council. "We always keep Builders Care at the top of our priority list."

The donation was funded by proceeds from two recent events.

The Remodelers Council held its fourth annual garage sale at the HabiJax ReStore on Beach Boulevard. Kristi Wyndham and Lisa Carrothers of Kitchen Studio 1562 planned and organized the garage sale. Council members and others donated a wide selection of cabinetry, appliances, furniture, décor and more to the event, which was the council's most successful garage sale to date.

Earlier this year, the Remodelers Council had its annual golf tournament at the County Club of Orange Park. The tournament planning committee, led by Harlan Bost of Florida Custom Marble, brought together 80 golfers and more than 30 event sponsors. The garage sale and golf tournament each raised $5,000, for a total donation of $10,000 to Builders Care.
