NEFBA loses valued leader

Longtime NEFBA leader Kenneth P. “Ken” Kuester of Fernandina Beach passed away earlier this month.

Mr. Kuester was president of Lumber Unlimited and Truss Unlimited of Jacksonville, and was the builder association’s second vice president on his death.

A native of Jefferson City, Mo., he moved to Jacksonville in 1980. After working for many years in the building supply industry; he purchased Fernandina Lumber Company and moved to Fernandina Beach in 1995.

Mr. Kuester served on and held various leadership positions on related professional boards including NEFBA, HabiJax, and he was the founding chairman of Builders Care.
