Builders Care makes a difference in difficult circumstances. Work wrapped up at the new AMI Kids School last month, and work continues at Five Star Vets and Holy Trinity Anglican Church.

More than 40 volunteers showed up in one day at Five Star Vets to help with the projects there. Builders Care is dependent on community partners to fund and complete projects like this.

Builders Care had a table at downtown Jacksonville’s One Spark event April 9-13, welcoming the opportunity to form new relationships with local entrepreneurs and be inspired in these new connections and collaborations.

A major Builders Care project is the 50-house building blitz with HabiJax June 9-14. Hundreds of volunteers will be needed for skilled trades, painting, lawn work and general assistance. Be part of this effort to revitalize New Town.

The New Town Success Zone is bordered by Myrtle Avenue, Beaver Street and Kings Road. It is home to approximately 5,000 residents, 1,575 of whom are children.

This is a high-profile initiative and one that will require hundreds of volunteers, community partners, and financial and in-kind donations.

Last summer, NEFBA and Builders Care joined HabiJax to build 25 houses in celebration of HabiJax’s 25th anniversary. This June, the scope of work will include restoring 25 owner-occupied homes and building 25 new ones.
