Tuesday, Oct. 7, was a red-letter day at NEFBA.
In the final weeks before the gubernatorial election, Gov. Rick Scott visited the association office. NEFBA endorsed Scott in his bid for a second term, which he won this month.
Scott addressed more than 70 NEFBA members and shared his plans to keep Florida working by building on the success of his first term in office. NEFBA members, including several past presidents and the newly appointed Florida Home Builders Association Executive Officer Rusty Payton, greeted Scott.
“NEFBA has enjoyed a good working relationship with elected officials in Tallahassee and with Gov. Scott,” said NEFBA President Daniel Blanchard. “It was an honor to have him meet with us in the association office. It is an acknowledgement that our endorsement is important to him, and that he will continue to support initiatives promoting the construction industry and growth.”
