Vista Products Inc. filed a notice with state and city officials saying it permanently laid off 52 employees at its facility at 8801 Corporate Square Court.

“We are taking this action because of COVID-19-related business circumstances that were not reasonably foreseeable,” the company said in its notice filed under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.

The layoffs began April 13. Vista said it was unable to give employees more notice because of how quickly the pandemic affected operations.

After the layoffs, Vista will have about 175 employees, including 100 in Jacksonville,

Vista is a wholesale manufacturer of window treatments, founded in 1980, according to its website.
