After being closed for about two months, the Omni Amelia Island Resort in Nassau County and Omni Jacksonville Hotel Downtown are accepting guest reservations.

The properties are following protocols and safety measures put in place with Omni Safe & Clean, part of the company’s “Stay a Part of” campaign.

“While our doors have been closed, we have worked tirelessly to ensure we can provide our guests a safe stay when they feel comfortable returning,” said Peter Strebel, president of Omni Hotels & Resorts, in a news release.

The program includes new guidelines including:

• All associates will wear masks and gloves and will be subject to daily health screenings, including temperature checks.

• Check-in and -out will be contactless wherever possible.

• Room keys will be disinfected.

• Staff members will be scheduled to clean high-traffic areas, and high-touch areas will be disinfected hourly.

• Sanitizing stations for guests will be added throughout the hotels.

• Lobby furniture will be repositioned, allowing for social distancing.

• Room service and housekeeping will deliver items to guests without contact.

• There will be enhanced disinfecting after each guest’s stay.

• High foot-traffic areas will be designated one-way passages with wider aisles wherever possible.

• Physical distancing indicators will be placed in waiting areas such as hotel check-in, event registration, host stations and food lines to help attendees maintain the recommended distance.

The hotels are offering Select Guest loyalty program members a 30% discount on best available rates for new bookings made through Sept. 5 for stays through Sept. 12.

Also, in partnership with Feeding America, Omni will provide one meal for every completed stay through its Say Goodnight to Hunger program. Donations will be doubled for group bookings made through the summer.
