About eight months after it opened, BJ’s Wholesale Club in St. Johns County’s Beachwalk community was sold July 9 for $12.5 million.
Boca Raton-based Falcone Group, the Beachwalk developer, sold the property through Twin Creeks SPE LLC.
The buyer is Ferrara Family Holding Corp. of Garden City, New York, through FFHC Florida LLC.
The acquisition covers part of one county parcel identified as Twin Creeks North Parcel 9 - BJ’s Parcel, according to the recorded deed.
The 104,298-square-foot store is at 115 Beachwalk Blvd., about 2½ miles east of Interstate 95 off County Road 210.
It is the first BJ’s in St. Johns County and is one of 45 in Florida as of June 17, according to data website ScrapeHero.com. The site includes a gas station with seven fueling stations and 14 pumps, an auto service and tire shop, and a liquor store that operates separately from the main store.
St. Johns County issued a building permit June 27, 2024, for the $9 million store. Separate permits were issued for the $946,000 gas station and $4 million foundation work.
BJ’s announced the project April 30, 2024.
BJ’s has three stores in Jacksonville and one in Orange Park.
