About a year after construction began at The Landings by Pulte Homes , plans for the community’s amenities can move forward.

St. Johns County issued building permits Sept. 23 to build a 14,296-square-foot clubhouse and a 4,787-square-foot fitness center, including a pool, a community garden, pickleball courts and 91 parking spaces.

Total project costs are about $9.8 million.

The Landings is south of Greenbriar Road and west of Longleaf Pine Parkway in northern St. Johns County.

Jacksonville-based England-Thims & Miller is the civil engineer, and Mattamy Homes is the contractor.

The amenity center will serve both The Landings, a Pulte Homes community, and Del Webb St. Johns, a 55-plus neighborhood.

The Landings will have up to 588 sites for one- and two-story homes on 50-, 60- and 65-foot lots featuring preserve and water views. Del Webb Saint Johns will include up to 761 homesites designed for active adults.

Developers are building both neighborhoods simultaneously according to a July 2024 news release ahead of the amenities’ construction.
