The Suddath Cos. has grown into one of the world’s largest household goods and commercial moving providers.
Building on that expertise, we expanded into logistics through NXTPoint Logistics subsidiary — now one of our fastest-growing businesses.
Real estate development has always been part of our Jacksonville-based company, and we have developed many industrial sites for our operating companies.
However, NXTPoint’s growth revealed an opportunity to become a strategic industrial developer for our operating companies and select third-party users.
To do that, and to own our existing real estate portfolio, we formed Suddath Development Group.
Suddath Development Group’s first industrial park, Tampa Park of Commerce, included two facilities: one occupied by Suddath and NXTPoint, and a second leased to third parties.
In 2024, we began searching in Jacksonville for roughly 100 acres to expand NXTPoint and meet current and future customer demand.
That search led to the 300-acre Airport Commerce Center, a unique chance to build NXTPoint’s flagship facility on Phase 2 while also acquiring additional parcels Suddath Development Group can develop for other users totaling close to 3 million square feet of distribution center space.
The airport corridor offers direct access to JAX’s growing air freight capabilities and efficient connectivity to Interstate 95 and I-10.
As a Jacksonville-based company, we believe Northeast Florida will continue to strengthen as a freight and logistics hub and we see significant upside in the airport corridor, driving our decision to acquire Airport Commerce Center.
We are partnering with NXTPoint to create a world-class distribution center as Airport Commerce Center’s anchor tenant.
Suddath Development Group is also engaged with third-party prospects who share our vision and are exploring Airport Commerce Center for their future operations.
