• Dr. Shahla Masood, professor and chair of the pathology department at the University of Florida College of Medicine — Jacksonville, is the director of the 17th annual Multidisciplinary Symposium on Breast Disease scheduled Thursday-Sunday at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. Medical experts and specialists will discuss current and controversial issues in breast cancer. The keynote speaker is Dr. Monica Morrow, chief of breast service in the department of surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York and president-elect of the Society of Surgical Oncology.
