• There will be plenty of Super Bowl festivities in South Florida this week with the big game Sunday, but one of the biggest will feature one local chef. The 19th annual “Taste of the NFL” to fight hunger brings 32 chefs from each of the NFL’s 32 cities to prepare dishes for a strolling food and wine event, with David Seavey of North Beach Bistro representing Jacksonville. Seavey’s been a local chef for close to 20 years, with a recent six-year position as executive chef of The Cabana Club, a private membership club affiliated with Sawgrass Marriott. Single tickets for the event went for $500 (sold out) and $600, with corporate tables fetching $6,000. In addition to a chef, a team representative will be on hand, with Jaguars player Sean Considine filling the role.
