Jerry Mallot may not literally hold the world in his hands, but locally he’s the economic liaison between Jacksonville and the rest of the world. As such, Mallot — executive director of Cornerstone, the economic development arm of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce — spends much of his working time in his Chamber office or on the road telling businesses the merits of establishing roots in Jacksonville.
