Frontier adding new nonstop flights from Jacksonville

Service from JIA to Raleigh-Durham International starts April 20.

Frontier Airlines is adding nonstop service from Jacksonville International Airport to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina beginning April 20.

Frontier will operate three weekly flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority announced in a news release.

Frontier is offering introductory one-way fares as low as $29.

The service is part of 22 new nonstop routes Denver-based Frontier announced Tuesday from Raleigh-Durham, Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Orlando.

From Jacksonville, the airline currently offers nonstop service to Denver, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia, St. Louis and Trenton, New Jersey.
