In its seventh acquisition in three years, Jacksonville-based Holmes Custom announced it bought Maryland-based WallMonkeys, a wall decal manufacturer and e-commerce retailer.

Holmes Custom, which started out as a stamp and sign company, makes custom printed products. It has locations in Jacksonville, Austin, Texas, and Salem, Massachusetts. WallMonkeys relocated to Holmes Custom’s headquarters in San Marco East in September.

Holmes Custom declined to disclose the cost of the acquisition.

Holmes Custom CEO Bryan Croft said he was interested in WallMonkeys’ offerings in its catalog, its same-day shipping policy, creativity, and experience in online sales and marketing, according to a news release.

“The acquisition of the catalog, the equipment, and the expertise in making the stickers and decals is a huge asset to be able to offer our customers an even wider range of products and adds to the company’s ability to offer our customers quality custom products,” Croft said.

Jason Weisenthal founded WallMonkeys in 2009.

“I know that WallMonkeys will be in more capable hands to grow and succeed with this larger group,” Weisenthal said. “There are so many talented team members working to grow.”

In the past three years, Holmes Custom acquired Massachusetts-based Frost Manufacturing and The Corporate Connection; Texas-based Capitol Rubber Stamp; Michigan-based Bluewater Engraving; and Florida companies Lakeland Rubber Stamp and Central Florida Stamp & Sign.

It also owns Name Tag Wizard, Simply Stamps, Custom Signs, Promo180, 904 Custom and All State Notary Supplies.

Croft said the company, which is in its 65th year of operation, is considering adding a fourth fulfillment location in the western U.S. to reach its customers in the region faster. The West Coast location could open in the second quarter of 2020.
