Jacksonville-based JWB Real Estate Capital LLC co-founders Chief Marketing Officer Gregg Cohen and President Alex Sifakis earned statewide recognition in Ernst & Young LLP’s  Entrepreneur Of The Year Florida Award winners announced June 23.

The statewide winners comprised leaders of seven companies.

In addition to JWB Real Estate Capital, they are:

• Aerodyne Industries, Andrew Allen, Orlando.

• Gale Healthcare Solutions LLC, Tony Braswell, Tampa.

• Pipe Technologies, Harry Hurst, Miami.

• ShipMonk, Jan Bednar, Fort Lauderdale.

• The Constant Company, David Aninowsky and J.J. Kardwell, West Palm Beach.

• Ubicquia, Ian Aaron, Fort Lauderdale.

The Florida program comprises Florida and Puerto Rico to recognize entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies “who think big to succeed.”

An independent panel of award alumni, CEOs, investors and other regional business leaders judged the awards.

The release said winners were evaluated based on their demonstration of long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

“EY has honored the curiosity, ingenuity, courage and drive of unstoppable entrepreneurs since 1986, and we are proud to continue the tradition again this year by celebrating this outstanding group of leaders,” said Sylvain Dominici, Florida program co-director, in a news release.

Regional winners will be considered for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2022 National Awards that will be presented in November.

The national winner will move on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in June 2023.

Founded and produced by Ernst & Young LLP, the awards are presented by PNC Bank and SAP. In Florida, sponsors also include DLA Piper and Cresa.

The program recognizes business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries.
