In his quest for a second term, Mayor Alvin Brown raised $105,000 in March, according to campaign finance reports filed Thursday.

He raised more than $21,000 in his individual campaign account, down from the $26,000 in February. To date, he has raised almost $384,000 for that account.

Brown raised $84,000 at the state level through a “Taking Jacksonville to the Next Level” political action committee. All of it came on either March 28 or 31.

The largest contributors through the state funds were Anne Pajcic ($25,000), George H. Hodges Trust ($25,000) and Waste Pro ($10,000). Almost $394,000 has been raised for the political action committee account.

Brown was joined in the 2015 mayor’s race by his first high-profile competitor, City Council member Bill Bishop, who filed Wednesday afternoon.

The next monthly reporting deadline for campaign finances is May 10.
