Restaurant Notes: Pepper’s to Durbin Creek Crossing; Whataburger to Oakleaf

Pepper’s Mexican Grill wants to open a 180-seat restaurant and cantina on the 1.3-acre Outparcel 2 at Durbin Creek Crossing at southwest Race Track Road and St. Johns Parkway in St. Johns County.

ShayCore is the representative. The St. Johns County Growth Management Department is reviewing the application.

Colliers International, the leasing broker, shows on a marketing brochure that Pepper’s Cocina Mexican will be on the site.

The Peppers Cocina Mexicana & Tequila Bar site shows two locations in Fernandina Beach and Fleming Island.

Whataburger to Oakleaf

Whataburger filed civil engineering plans with the city for a 3,198-square-foot restaurant in Oakleaf Corner at northeast Old Middleburg Road and Argyle Forest Boulevard.

Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. is the civil engineer.

Popeyes to West Jacksonville

The city issued a concurrency reservation certificate for Popeyes to build a 2,107-square-foot, 28-seat restaurant and drive-thru on 1.89 acres at southeast 103rd Street and Rockola Road in West Jacksonville.

Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. is the civil engineer.
