The Residences at Barnett, the Downtown apartment development in the redeveloped historic Barnett National Bank Building at 112 W. Adams St., announced Tuesday it is leasing units.

According to The Residences’ website, the 18-story tower has 107 one- and two-bedroom loft-style apartments for rent. Fourteen floorplans range from 520 to 1,650 square feet.

JAX Chamber President and CEO Daniel Davis told a meeting of the Northeast Florida Builders Association in mid-April, and Godwin confirmed Tuesday, that the Barnett property has drawn more than 800 applications for the apartments.

Apartments aren’t the only use for the building.

The fourth and fifth floors of the building are the home of the University of North Florida’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. It opened in February.
