Time: Kickoff is 1 p.m. Sunday.

Weather: Showers with highs in the low 40s.

Oddsmakers say: Cleveland by 2 and a half with an over/under of 36.

Daily Record’s reckless reckoning: Browns 17, Jaguars 14.

Records: Jaguars 4-8, Browns 6-6.

The series: The Jaguars hold a 6-1 advantage in regular season games over the Browns.

Last meeting: After a 48-0 drubbing last December by Jacksonville, Cleveland came back this year and beat the Jaguars 23-13 Sept. 30, knocking quarterback Mark Brunell out of the game with a concussion.

Television: The game will be televised locally on Ch. 4 and regionally on CBS affiliates.

The game: Jacksonville squeaked out a win against the fading Bengals last Sunday, winning 14-10 on Brunell’s fourth quarter touchdown pass to Keenan McCardell, ending their losing streak at three. This week they fly back to Ohio to face the Browns, who chalked up their first win ever against the Jaguars earlier this season by playing rough and tumble football. Cleveland coach Butch Davis has his team pointed in a positive direction after taking over for Chris Palmer, albeit to average results so far. Jacksonville’s promising start seems like an eon ago as the losses have piled up and the grumbling grows louder. Coach Tom Coughlin, not known for his warm relationships with his players, has tried to inject a little humanity into his militaristic rhetoric by naming players like Brunell and Donovin Darius “warriors.” Kinda like Archie Bunker in a tender moment with Meathead. Too little, too late.

Next week: The Jaguars travel to Minnesota for a 1 p.m. game.
