• The Chamber of Commerce will host the Martin Luther King Breakfast Jan. 11 at 7:45 a.m. at the Osborn Center. Author and human rights advocate Stetson Kennedy is the guest speaker. Tickets are $17.50 per person or $200 for a table of 10. For information, call 366-6675.

• United Way of Northeast Florida has named Wendy Hummel graphics and web design manager and Jay Mooney special events and media relations manager. Hummel has done freelance graphic design and illustration for several local advertising agencies, including Husk Jennings Design, Cindy Wilson Design and Clarity. Mooney will be responsible for special events, the mid-term campaign report rally and the Honor Rows program in conjunction with the Jacksonville Jaguars Foundation.

• Reba Skeens Mossman of Watson Realty is the new president of the Jacksonville chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors.

• Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell will join Baptist Health CEO and president Hugh Greene and Larry Freeman, Wolfson Children’s Hospital Administrator Friday to distribute toys to patients at Wolfson’s Children Hospital.
