• Sigrid L. Pardue has joined Right Management Consultants as a client services consultant for the North Florida region. She brings over 12 years of experience in human resources, management and marketing to the firm.

• The Make-A-Wish Foundation will host an open house for its new northeast region office at 4613 Phillips Highway Dec. 4 from 5-7 p.m. Robert Kinney, president and CEO of the foundation for central and northern Florida will be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

• The Jewish Book Festival at the Jewish Community Alliance opened Tuesday at its center on San Jose Boulevard. The bookstore opens at 6:30 p.m. and health and science writer Henry Dreher will speak on management skills at 7:30 p.m. The festival continues through Friday, with different speakers nightly. Free for members, non-members, $5 and non-member seniors, $3. For information, call 730-2100.

• The Junior League is hosting its Festival of Trees Nov. 29-Dec.1 at the Omni.

• Rebecca Howes of Rink Reynolds Diamond Fisher Wilson has been certified by the National Council for Interior Design Qualification. The exam insures that individuals are qualified to practice interior design. Designers must graduate from an accredited university and work under a licensed interior designer for two years before they are eligible to sit for the exam.
