Running for Special Olympics

Monday marked the 20th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics. With about 50 participants, the race started in front of the Police Memorial Building and traveled several downtown streets. Chief Gordon Bass carried the torch for the run. The event travels thousands of miles across the state, passing the torch from one agency to another. Over $5,000 has been raised to date.
