• The Chamber of Commerce, JEDC and JEA will present their master marketing plan March 26 in the Renaissance Room of the St. James Building. It will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m., preceding the City Council’s regular biweekly meeting.

• The Great Jacksonville Book Sale is scheduled for March 1, 2 and 3 at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. Tens of thousands of books will be on sale, ranging in price from 25 cents to $2. For information, call 519-8625.

• The Mandarin Art Festival is scheduled for March 30 and 31 at the Mandarin Community Club. For information, call 268-1622.

• The University of Florida Levin College of Law is hosting a two-day symposium on “Terrorism and the Money Trail” March 11 and 12 at the University of Florida Hotel and Conference Center. Topics include underground banking, human rights versus law enforcement, privacy and bank secrecy, offshore banking stability and hiding of assets and government strategies in attacking terrorism financing. • JM Family Enterprises has named Scott Barrett executive vice president and chief information officer and Brent Burns executive vice president and president of World Omni Financial Corp. Barrett will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, implementation and operation of JMFE’s technology and information systems. Burns will be responsible for the operational management of World Omni, Southeast Toyota Finance and CenterOne Financial Services.

• The Prudential Foundation has presented a $60,000 grant to Community Connections of Jacksonville to provide support for low income residents of Sable Palms Apartments by providing case management, GED instruction and translation services.

• The Stellar Group has named Paul Saville director of design for the Power and Utilities Division and Michael Vranesh senior electrical engineer for the Process Division. Saville will be responsible for customer service, design team resources, project design schedules, interdisciplinary drawings and performing inspections and testing. Vranseh’s responsibilities include the development of electrical documentation for schematic and detailed design and cost studies.
