• Stephen J. Veniard, a member of CenterBank’s original organizing team, has been appointed senior vice president of Risk Management and Internet Banking for the community bank. Veniard, who has over 25 years of banking experience, will be responsible for providing strategic direction and overall management of the bank’s credit administration, risk management and Internet banking processes.

• The St. Johns County Housing Finance Authority has honored Martha Cesery Taylor, vice chair of the organization, for her years of dedicated service.

• The Police Athletic League will host the Sheriff’s Invitational Track Meet Saturday at Ribault High School. The event, for children aged 8-12, begins at 8 a.m. For information, call 731-5988 or 355-3308.

• The North Florida Chapter of the Safari Club International and the Sportsmen Against Hunger Program hosted its annual dinner Thursday night at the Salvation Army dining hall. The group donated about 1,000 pounds of wild game to the Salvation Army, which helped create over 4,000 meals for those in need. The group also donated a check for $1,000 to the Salvation Army.
