The Jacksonville Bar Association was honored last week to received the state’s highest award for pro bono activities. The Association was selected to receive the 2002 Chief Justice’s Voluntary Bar Commendation Award for outstanding efforts in support of pro bono legal services for the Legal Clinic program at the Sulzbacher Center. The purpose of the award is to recognize a voluntary bar association which has demonstrated a significant contribution in the delivery of legal services to individuals or groups on a pro bono basis. The award is not an annual award and is presented only when a program warrants recognition.
