• Thomas F. “Ty” Petway IV has been named executive vice president at Zurich Insurance Services, Inc. He will be responsible for management of all corporate contracts and executive-level management development and succession planning.

• Irwin Mortgage has opened a retail office in Jacksonville with Paul and Eric Halter serving as co-branch managers.

• Local female painters Bruce Ann Ferguson, Phyllis Gottschalk, Patricia Haley, Jaime Howard and Vicky Lennon will present their an art show, “Five Old Ladies With A Brush,” Dec. 15 at the St. Augustine Art Association. There’s a reception from 2-5 p.m. The show runs through Dec. 30.

• JEA celebrated the relaunch of the Northside Generating Station Monday. As part of the ceremony, Power Magazine presented its 2002 Powerplant Award to JEA for its efforts to install clean coal technology in the 35-year-old power station.
