The Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association held its season-opening reception last week at the Southend Brewery at the Landing. In addition to soliciting prospects for membership, the evening also served as an opportunity to hear from local judicial candidates, although Fernandina Beach attorney John Cascone was the only candidate who attended. The JWLA meets again Oct. 10.
