Clearwire officially launched its wireless Internet service in Jacksonville Wednesday morning with a river cruise aboard the Lady St. Johns. Clearwire president and COO Leo Cyr hosted local businessmen and women, elected officials and most of the Clearwire board of directors. Cyr also presented a $2,500 check to Dr. Davy Parrish, executive director of The Bridge of Northeast Florida. Clearwire will also donate about $2,500 worth of services to the local non-profit.
