For almost 100 years, Gus & Company Shoe and Luggage Repair has been operating downtown. Now, the institution is moving a couple of storefronts down on North Laura Street from its current location in the Elks Club Building. Owners Debbie and Nick Kounoupas decided to merge with Cobbler’s Corner Shoe Repair owner Greg Vaccaro. They’ll now occupy the Cobbler’s Corner space at 225 N. Laura. A new sign should be going up this week and the moving process should be complete in the next few weeks.
