Brad Thoburn, director of Intergovernmental Relations for the City, accepted the deed for the old federal courthouse during a ceremony Friday. The United States General Services Administration agreed to swap the deed in exchange for use of parking spaces at the Water Street garage. The old federal courthouse will be completely renovated starting today to incorporate it into the new Duval County Courthouse complex as office space for the State Attorney and Public Defender offices.
