Lad Daniels will take over as the City Council’s president on July 1 and Elaine Brown will be the president-elect after Friday’s election in a special meeting which included the eight new Council members. Both were unopposed.
The 45-minute meeting included a visit from Mayor-elect John Peyton, who told the Council of the importance of working together.
