The Downtown Neighborhoods Council of Realtors, a division of the Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, has held its first meeting and announced the appointment of its executive committee members.
“The DNCR was created to promote the development of Jacksonville’s in-town communities to NEFAR members and affiliates,” Council Vice President Sam Morgan said. “Our council and committee members will help to provide a platform for education, networking opportunities and the exchange of information among industry professionalsthroughout the area.”
The DNCR’s new executive committee includes Vice Chairperson Sally Suslak, Atkinson Knight Realty Group; Treasurer Allen Lewis, Wells Fargo; Secretary Chris Wilkenson, Fred Miller Group; Membership Chair Jon Singleton, Watson Realty Corp.; Public Relations Chair Maxine McBride, Clockwork Marketing Services; Special Events Coordinator Christopher Johnson, HomeBanc Mortgage; and Caravans Chair Dee Fannin of The Fred Miller Group. The committee will assist in generating sponsorships and funds for fund raisers, caravans and luncheons as well as actively participate in downtown organizations.
The downtown council will also support and foster cooperation among Realtors serving the city’s downtown neighborhoods.
The DNCR has held two meetings this year with approximately 50 guests in attendance. Council meetings are open to all NEFAR members. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Villa Riva.
