Morrison Homes’ Northeast Florida division is celebrating success in the first half of 2004 with a record $60 million in sales, a 70 percent increase over this time last year. In addition, the number of units closed through June 2004 increased 90 percent from this time in 2003.
“We are having a phenomenal year,” said Vice President of Operations Doug Guy. “We have a strong team in place with a lot of local talent. Our sales remain steady and we are on-track to reach all of our goals.”
Morrison Homes entered the Northeast Florida market just over three years ago. The national homebuilder is now building in eight communities in Duval, Nassau, Clay and St. Johns counties with an average sale price of $280,000. Morrison Homes offers homebuyers a variety of floor plans in some of the area’s most desirable communities including Bartram Springs, OakLeaf Plantation, Palencia, Eagle Harbor, North Hampton, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, World Golf Village and St. Johns Forest.
In addition to its single-family homes, Morrison Homes has also entered the townhome market with its new designs at OakLeaf Plantation.
“Over the years, Morrison Homes has developed a strong presence and name recognition in the Jacksonville marketplace,” Guy said. “As we expand our operations and offer a broader spectrum of product lines, Morrison Homes continues to see an increase in repeat buyers and those who have come to us through referrals. Having those kinds of buyers is the nicest compliment a homebuilder can receive.”
