Legal Aid honors Coxe

Local attorney Hank Coxe was honored Tuesday evening at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid’s 6th Annual Equal Justice awards reception at The River Club.

Coxe was recognized for his contributions to JALA and his work in criminal law.

U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw gave the evening’s keynote address.

Several other individuals were recognized as well for their pro bono efforts in the Jacksonville legal community. JALA Pro Bono awards were given to attorneys Emily Diaz, Donald Robinson, Katherine Bliss Para, and Michael Shorstein and JALA advocates Deanna Sessions-Mitchell and Kimberly Smith-Johnson.

Recipients of JALA employee awards were Bahra Stanisic, Joy Eberhardt, Renu Heda and attorneys Jimmy Midyette and Nancy Hale.
