Electricians from Miller Electric said they’d been given a Tuesday night deadline to finish lighting the field. The team is hoping night practices will bring more fans out to Alltel Stadium to watch training camp. Players report for camp Friday and the team expects to begin night practices Saturday.

Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio said earlier this week he thought the night practices and the presence of NFL Films in training camp would excite fans and his players. Del Rio said he’s looking forward to the evening practices, but he’s been keeping an eye on the lights during construction.

“They’re cutting it a little closer than I probably could,” he said.
