Attorney Thomas S. Edwards, a partner at Peek, Cobb, Edwards & Ashton, P.A., was re-elected to the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (AFTL) Board of Directors at the Academy’s annual meeting in Palm Beach.

The board works closely with the AFTL staff on a common goal — to protect the citizens of Florida. Edwards was also re-elected to the executive committee, which is a much smaller group that oversees day-to-day operations and strategy.

“Our firm is proud of Tom and his efforts on behalf of the Academy,” said Frank Ashton, managing partner at Peek, Cobb, Edwards & Ashton, P.A.

“Tom’s election and service reflect well not only on Tom but also on his firm and the legal community in Jacksonville,” said Bob Spohrer of Spohrer, Wilner, Maxwell and Matthews, P.A., a former AFTL board member. It takes a major commitment of time and talent to serve your profession, but the results are well worth it.”

Edwards, a certified civil trial attorney, will serve on the board for a two-year term. He is a resident of the Granada/San Marco area of Jacksonville and is married with three children.
