ACLU hosting musical fundraiser

The ACLU of Greater Jacksonville and The Unitarian Universalist Church of Jacksonville’s Community Outreach Committee are hosting the annual Songs of Protest, Revolution and Audacity! June 5 at 7 p.m. at the church.

Local singers, songwriters and musicians will be performing and interacting with the audience. There will be an eclectic mixture of music, including the local ACLU First Amendment Singers, traditional folk and protest songs, original modern folk, pop and original humorous songs.

Coffee and desserts will be provided during the intermission.

A $10 donation is suggested and will benefit the local ACLU chapter, ACLU legal fund and help further community outreach.

Scheduled performers include Lynn Wadley folk musician; David Milam, acoustic singer/songwriter; Good Question, acoustic folk duo; Bettina Makley, original acoustic music; Michelle Payne, singer; Jamie DeFrates, singer; Patrick Plumlee, folk musician; Chris Ricke, thumb and finger style guitar; the Connors family, singers-songwriters; Ken Hurley, piano; and The First Amendment Singers.
