A Fall Parade of Homes will be held Oct. 31-Nov. 7.

Sponsored by the Northeast Florida Builders Association and The Florida Times-Union, the Oct. 31 through Nov. 7 Fall Parade offers area residents another opportunity to shop and compare offerings from area home builders.

“The new-home market is so strong right now, builders are adding new designs and products almost daily,” said NEFBA President Greg Matovina. “By scheduling this ‘parade of winners’ in the fall, builders can invite shoppers and buyers to visit many models in a short period of time.”

Each spring, NEFBA’s Parade of Homes is the area’s largest open house.

“Our spring Parade has always been a terrific time for sales,” said Julie Humphress, marketing director for DR Horton. “People like to visit the new models, and fall is

a great time to do that.

Hopefully, we’ve put the worst of the hurricane season behind us and we can celebrate by visiting the beautiful homes in the Fall Parade.”

DR Horton’s Monarch

2510 is the first entry in the Fall Parade.

“The Monarch 2510 has been one of our best sellers

all over town,” Humphress said. “We’re proud to submit the Monarch as the first Parade entry.”

The Monarch is a 2,510-square-foot, four-bedroom home.

Kerri Soud, operational marketing manager at Centex Homes North Florida Division, said Centex looks forward to events such as a Parade of Homes to introduce its new homes and communities.

“We find that the Parade typically draws traffic to

communities our customers may not have considered yet,” Soud said. “This is an excellent way for anyone interested in a new home to see the quality and variety Centex has to offer.”

Tracy Miller, sales and marketing manager with Ryland Homes, also will participate.

“Although we are a national builder, we are new in this market,” Miller said. “The Fall Parade is the perfect way

to draw visitors to our homes

so we can introduce our

product and our name.”
