Beazer Homes is giving college students a glimpse into the residential construction industry by offering internships for the 2006 summer program to full-time students who wish to gain hands-on experience with one of the nation’s leading homebuilders.

“Our Internship Program is a wonderful opportunity for college students to get real world experience and training in the construction industry before they graduate,” Vice President Tom Daddario said. “We have had tremendous success with our program and have been fortunate enough to welcome several of our interns to the Beazer family after completing their internship.”

Beazer Homes’ Internship Program is offered by all of its divisions across the country and is open to college students who have completed their sophomore year prior to beginning their internship.

Students must have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average and a 3.0 GPA within their major. The program enables students to network with other interns and professionals in the industry while applying knowledge gained in the classroom to situations in the field. Interns spend their internship being mentored by Beazer Homes employees in various departments throughout the company including sales and marketing and construction.

“Our Internship Program is good for the students and it’s good for Beazer Homes,” Daddario added.

Beazer Homes also has a Scholarship Program for college students interested in the residential construction industry who are currently attending the University of Florida, Georgia Tech University or Clemson University. To be eligible for the $3,000 scholarship, students must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall grade point average and a 3.0 GPA within their major.
