The Northeast Florida Builders Association and its Sales and Marketing Council joined together last month to install its officers and board members, give away awards and enjoy a little entertainment.
Over 500 attended the breakfast to see Bryan Lendry of Brylen Homes installed as president of the builders association and Mike Taylor of Palencia installed as chair of SMC as well as their boards.
The executive committee of the builders association includes Jerry Linder of The Vintage Group, first vice president; Bruce Peters of PPW/DuPont Tyvek, second vice president; Bobby Walton of InsurAmerica, Inc., third vice president; Keith Ward of Thomas May Construction, training vice president; Bill Cellar of Providence Homes, secretary/treasurer and Greg Matovina of Matovina and Company as immediate past president.
The executive committee of the SMC includes Pud English of Palencia, first vice chair; Steve Williams of Edgewater Companies, second vice chair; Alayna Kimball of Davidson Development, Inc, secretary/treasurer and Bob Ransom of Arthur Rutenberg, Marcus Allen Homes as immediate past chairman.
Also during the event, several awards were given out.
Doug Wenzel of Bonded Builders Home Warranty received the Fred King Associate of the Year Award, the staff of Builders Care won the Bill Soforenko Affordable Housing Award, KB Home won the Builder of the Year Award and Stan DeAngelis, St. Johns County building official, won the Leadership Award.
