Prudential Network Realty and its affiliates, Gibraltar Title Services and Gibraltar Mortgage, collected 228 backpacks filled with school supplies for children in foster care during the seventh annual Backpack Challenge.

“Prudential Network Realty is proud to be involved with the backpack cause that gives foster children the same pride on that first day of school as their buddies in class,” Founder, President and CEO Linda H. Sherrer said. “Whenever there is an opportunity to help others, our team really comes through and goes above and beyond.”

Throughout the month of July, backpacks and school supplies were collected at Prudential Network Realty’s seven offices in San Jose, Mandarin, Ponte Vedra Beach, Arlington, Avondale, the Beaches and Fleming Island and at the corporate office, as well as at the offices of its affiliate companies. The much-needed supplies were delivered to Prudential CARES, which distributed the supplies to local foster children before the start of the new school year. During the 2004 Backpack Challenge, 139 backpacks were collected. According to Prudential Network Realty’s Margaret Ceaser, the Backpack Challenge coordinator, the company hopes to continue its trend of surpassing the number of backpacks collected from the year before.
